Total Racking Systems were asked to help Epson, Australia build a new racking system for their Australia DC Centre at Yennora, Sydney, NSW. They required a reliable and long-lasting pallet rack so Colby racking was the rack that they needed to get the job done.

Total Racking Systems were asked to supply and deliver the rack on time so they could relocate from their old warehouse to their new location without hassle. Lead time was 4 weeks from order to delivery and as Colby racks are manufactured in Belrose, Sydney by Dematic there is an extremely fast lead time that allowed us to get the racks up quickly and on-time.

The rack and bay loads up to 18000kg and to meet the rack standard it is 4084mm-2012mm.

The upright material at 9075mm high is rolled from one continual piece of galbond steel also known as g450/g450s which is a hot dipped zinc coated surface with a minimum yield strength of 450mpa.This material is used in construction of purlins, structural decking and scaffolding due to its strength.

The beams used were Colby BX 2740 x 110 beams for 1200kg pallets and the steel used to construct these beams is xf400 hot rolled rextra formable structural steel wich is suitable for severe forming with a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 380kpa. The beams are robotically welded and powder coated at Dematics Belrose facility.

We also needed mesh to protect pedestrians from boxes falling from pallets. We used a product called Monky Mesh which is manufactured in Sydney by DeltaShelving.

Total Racking Systems had the whole project completed and ready to go in time for Epson to move to their new facility.
